We recommend that you learn about The Flipside Marketplace’s selling policies in addition to your local, state and federal retail/resell laws before you open a storefront. This helps you avoid accidentally breaking any rules or regulations. If you are found in violation of any of The Flipside Marketplace’s selling policies, to protect the integrity of our marketplace, we may take certain actions, such as removing your listings or products and limiting your buying and selling privileges. The Flipside Marketplace Selling Policy
The following list of items are prohibited to be sold through this site without exception:
Vendors are required to respond as quickly as possible to customer disputes. Customers have the option to contact The Flipside Marketplace for assistance due to lack of vendor response. If Administration is unable to reach a Vendor within four (4) business days, the vendor’s store will be immediately shut down until a resolution is reached. After three (3) major customer complaints (ex. no response, product doesn’t match description, damaged goods, etc.), the Administration will close the vendor’s storefront permanently and the vendor will be banned from selling on the site in the future. The Flipside Market does not refund transaction or administration fees if an item is returned from a customer.
Our fee schedule is straightforward and transparent. There are no hidden fees when you partner with The Flipside Marketplace so you can price your products accordingly.
All listings are FREE. NO relisting fees required.
Administrative Transaction Fees
When you make a sale through Flipside-Marketplace.com, you will be charged a transaction fee of 5% of the price you display for each listing. The transaction fee does not apply to sales tax, Goods and Services Tax (“GST”), or Harmonized Sales Tax (“HST”), unless you have included those charges in your listing price. Transaction fees are deducted from your current balance as each sale occurs, and are reflected in your vendor commissions account.
Payment Processing Fees
Flipside-Marketplace.com offers customers the option to pay for goods using either a Paypal account or Stripe for credit card payments. Payment processing fees will be deducted from the price listed per transaction. The current rates* are as follows:
Paypal: 2.9% + 30¢ (3.5% flat charge for American Express payments)
Stripe: 2.9% + 30¢
Flipside-Marketplace.com offers customers the option to choose their shipping methods. Funds paid by the customer towards shipping costs are passed to the Vendor. Vendors can purchase shipping labels and postage for any package or envelope over 3 ounces through your Store Management portal using The Flipside Marketplace shipping account. You also have the option to use your own Shippo account in your store or purchase postage and labels at your prefered shipping company as well.
Withdrawal Processing Fees
Flipside-Marketplace.com uses PayPal to pay vendors earnings. A withdrawal payment processing fee will be deducted from the total available earnings for withdrawal to the vendor at a current rate of 25¢. Deposits can be made to the vendor’s PayPal or Bank Account. Requests for commission withdrawal can be submitted at anytime by the vendor.
